Contacts in Parakeet form a unified central directory for searching people and identifying callers. With Parakeet, you can create contacts that are private for just you, or shared with the rest of your company. Each time you receive a call, we'll automatically attempt to identify the caller by looking through the contacts that are visible to you. Changes to your contact like take effect in realtime.
Contacts can come from multiple sources. By default, Parakeet creates a contact for each user and team in your organization. Additionally, anyone with an account can create shared contacts that are visible to the rest of the company.
For enterprise customers, your account may also be integrated with your CRM to automatically import contacts.
How it Works
Simply create a new contact from the desktop or web applications (contact management is coming to mobile soon). Once the contact is created, it's instantly synced to all your connected devices. Any calls matching the phone numbers associated with the contact will show the contact's name and photo.
Note that, at this time, if two contacts share the same phone number, we do not provide any guarantees about which contact will be associated with the call.
